Opened in April 2019, Eataly Paris Marais is the first large Italian marketplace in Paris, refreshing the historic Marais district with 2,500 sqm of hybrid space combining grocery, restaurants, workshops, wine cellar and cooking school. Rooted in a slow‑food concept established in Turin in 2007 and brought to Paris by Galeries Lafayette, it offers an enticing showcase of Italian gastronomy.
Across three floors, visitors move through stalls: cheese, La Macelleria butcher shop, panetteria (bread and focaccia made with Mulino Marino organic wheat), in‑house mozzarella, and freshly made pasta. Each counter evokes the feel of an authentic Italian piazza, while a glass atrium with a lemon tree, designed by Martin Boyce, creates a warm, luminous atmosphere.
With seven dining stations (La Piazza, Pasta e Pizza, Bar Torino, L’Osteria del Vino, Caffè e Gelato…), guests can enjoy everything from a classic espresso to brunch, a spritz on the terrace, a Neapolitan pizza or a gourmet dish
Eataly. The Pasta Fresca bar allows the creation of homemade ravioli, tagliatelle or lasagna under the guidance of Italian chefs like Alessandro Binetti.
The wine cellar, located in the basement, houses over 1,200 Italian wine labels (some up to €320), making it the largest in Paris. Sommeliers and events (tastings, masterclasses, blind‑tests, DJ nights) enliven this festive venue attracting food lovers, families, tourists, and professionals.
A fun fact: on 12 April 2019 at 12:12, doors opened to great excitement and long queues, reflecting anticipation for a concept already present in New York and Milan . Annually, Eataly celebrates its anniversary with all‑Italian evenings featuring renowned chefs, live music and engaging activities .
Affordable with prices ranging from €20 to €40, Eataly also offers takeaway, click & collect, home delivery in Paris and French provinces, as well as private hire services for events . It is open daily: Sunday to Wednesday 10:00–22:30, Thursday to Saturday until 23:00.
