A warm, inclusive place where gastronomy meets solidarity.
Description
Located in Le Marais, steps from Rambuteau and Hôtel de Ville metro stations, Le Reflet is more than a restaurant – it’s a social inclusion and sharing project. Opened in October 2019 following the success of its Nantes counterpart, it offers individuals with Down’s syndrome the opportunity to enter the workforce with autonomy and dignity.
Upon entering, you're greeted by a welcoming atmosphere of light wood tables, soft lighting, and accessible design. The space is carefully organized with zones that guide the flow of staff and adapted fixtures for ease of use .
The menu, refreshed every three weeks, focuses on seasonal produce, sourced locally and Ecotable‑certified Instagram. It offers a smart mix of French classics and vegetarian/vegan options. A standout is the duck breast, frequently praised in reviews.
Service is attentive and respectful. Tools such as fingerprinted dishes, ordering cards, and adapted kitchen access support efficiency and calm . Guests often mention the warm nature of the staff – Ibrahim, one of the waiters, is regularly highlighted .
Visitors include locals and tourists, united by appreciation for the inclusive concept, honest cuisine, and meaningful experience. Conversations flow easily in this relaxed setting.
Practical info: Open Tuesday–Wednesday for lunch (12–15h), Thursday–Friday lunch and dinner (12–15h, 19–22h), and Saturday dinner (19–22h). Closed Sunday and Monday . Reservations are advised. Plan between €20–40 per person. It's easily accessible via Rambuteau metro (line 11), RER lines A/B/D at Les Halles, or Hôtel de Ville metro (1/11).
A fun fact: The idea originated in 2014 from Flore Lelièvre, then an interior architecture student, who envisioned a restaurant designed to promote inclusion through thoughtful architecture and layout .
In sum, Le Reflet blends simple gestures (committed cuisine, humane service, accessible design) with heartfelt generosity: come with open eyes, a light heart, and a desire to support a beautiful project while enjoying a memorable meal.
